Walking the challenging moorland terrain of Dartmoor, you realise that it must never be taken for granted. It is rugged and beautiful, with a weather system that can suddenly change. 
 
in this painting I wanted to give the feeling of stepness and the unrelenting uphill grind to get to the top of a high Tor. And on a clear day, to be rewarded with magnificent views.
